LIFX: Control Your Light Bulbs with Android App

Another interesting project is recently spotted at Kickstarter Project. It is called as LIFX light bulb. Unlike any other light bulb, this one is made from color LEDs. This is mean that the bulb is able to provide full rainbow colors depends on user’s need. Not to mention that it is more energy efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs and there are annoying light and harmful effect like you got from CLF bulbs. The founder of this project also explain that LIFX bulbs will be able to provide some special effects like flashing or dimming.

This LIFX project was already submitted for couple of weeks and it’s seeking for $100,000 fund to keep the concept on the run. Apparently, this idea was manage to captivate lot of people attention. LIFX bulb is manage to get $1.3 million, more than expected.

LIFX feature some kind of computer board that can be connected WiFi router. This way, the bulb can receive electronic transmission from other device. In the end, all LIFX bulbs will be able to be controlled from distance area. Off course there is no better way to do such thing than using a dedicated smartphone app made on Android platform. There will be unlimited possibilities to use this technology. You can control the way your bulbs light when there’s a guest come for dinner. You can also set the color when a message come into your handset. Currently away from home? You can turn on/off lights on your house with a single tap from your handset.
