X-Runner is a brand new Android game took it’s inspiration from roller skating. Yep, you read it right guys. Developed by DroidHen, which already famous for some of their kick ass Android games, it seems like X-Runner is made with a mission to provide Android gamers with something new rather than physics based game or city building simulation. I’ve been spending an entire hour with this game and i think it’s worked! Interested to know more? Then you should read my review of X-Runner below.
Once you launch the game in your handset, X-Runner will present you with main menu featuring a girls wearing space-like roller skating suit. This is really good since you are get an impression about the character that you’re gonna play with . Start the game and you will immediately find your character stand in the middle of a course with starting counter. Just like any other running based game, X-Runner ask you to run as far as possible to score highest point. Make sure that don’t hit any crates that scattered all over your way. Sets of objectives will be presented at the beginning of each stage. Complete all of them and you should be able to use score multiplier. During the game, you will see the back side of your character. Quite similar to Temple Run’s camera angle.
X-Runner offer simple control system. In order to navigate your character, you just have to tilt your device. Tap on the screen to make her jump. Tap once again while she is in mid-air to make double jump. Remember, you can also move left/roight while your character is in mid-air. This is very important since in the early stage, you will have to switch track within a race. If you fail to do so, the game will end instantly. Just like Temple Run, the more distance you covered, skating speed will go faster. That is why you need to give your best reaction in tilting and tapping the screen. Avoid all crates and collect gems and coins. You can use them to buy upgrade and power ups.
When it comes to graphics, X-Runner is quite an enjoyable game. The whole landscape is set on space theme. During a race (or run?) you will see Earth and other planets. But let me remind you guys, don’t get too amazed with the background since you need to give your full concentration on the game or you will loose. About music, i am not hear anything awesome until now. Not that they are annoying, but musics are too simple. They don’t pump my mood to play the game, but not disrupt my game experience either. It seems like the developer decided to make everything simple in this aspect.
Well, that is all i can tell you right now. If you love to play Temple Run, but already beat all your friend’s top score, X-Runner can be a good alternative to spend your times.tags: Android, Download, game, Review, X-Runner
