Great news all my Canadian fellows! Sony is recently announce that they will bring their latest rugged android handset, Xperia Go, to your homeland.

Sony Xperia Go Waterproof Goes to Canada

Xperia Go has been available for couple of weeks in Europe region, where it was announced as Xperia Advance. Like i said earlier, this device has rugged chassis. It is certified with IP67, which mean that Xperia Go is completely resistant to water and shock. Other important specs include 3.5″ HVGA screen, HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, 5.0MP rear shutter, 1.0GHz dual-core processors, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory and microSD card slot.

If everything goes according to plan, Fido will be the only Canadian carrier to sell Xperia Go in black and white version. For those of you who interested to own the limited yellow version, Sony’s Official stores are the only place that you need to go.

There’s still no pricing details revealed at the moment. For your information, Sony Xperia Go is recently running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However, Sony already made promise that an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be ready at some point around this or next year.
