US Cellular Release Two Entry Level Android: Huawei Ascend Y and Alcatel One Touch Shockwave

US Cellular is recently introduce two new entry-level Android smartphone. This should be a good news for those of you who recently decide to buy new handset or converting to Android.

Huawei Ascend Y

First handset is called as Huawei Ascend Y. It is currently run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, not the OS’ latest version but still considered as good. Other important features include 3.5″ touchscreen with HVGA resolution, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.2MP rear shutter, 800MHz processors, and microSD card slot.

Huawei Ascend Y is currently priced at $0.01 on contract. If you’re willing to own it on pre-pay, you should pay no less than $99.99. For that amount of money, US Cellular will be happy to give you a 2GB microSD card for free.

Alcatel One Touch Shockwave

Second handset from US Cellular is Alcatel One Touch Shockwave, another Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone with 3.5″ HVGA screen. You might notice the interesting “Shockwave” naming, that’s because this handset is packed with rugged chassis that completely resistant to shock, water, and scratch. Aside from this additional feature, One Touch Shockwave carry on standard facility like WiFi, GPS, 800MHz processors, 3.2MP rear shutter, and 1GB internal memory.

US Cellular is currently ask $49.99 and contract for those of you who interested to own Alcatel One Touch Shockwave.
