Rovio’s Bad Piggies Review

Rovio has been very well known for their Angry Birds game series. In the past few years, the company has been enjoy massive income, not only from the game sales, but every memorabilia and merchandise that related to the birds. You can see ‘em from regular t-shirt to dog toy. That lead us to the big question, will Rovio manage to repeat similar success? Well, their latest Amazing Alex was failed to do so. That’s why i am quite interested when they release Bad Piggies.

Yep, released as spin-off of the successful Angry Birds series, Bad Piggies now allow player to control the pigs. Their mission? Penetrate the bird’s nest and steal their eggs!

But before you do so, you have to help all pigs to collect every rocks, woods, and maybe pieces of ice to complete their grand design in order to steal or protect the stolen eggs. Once you gather round all the puzzles part, all pigs can start to build the construction to make their plan run pretty well.

For those of you who love lightning start, this game is really not for you. Bad Piggies felt really slow at the moment. Once you get an access to specific item, the game will tell you how to use it. Tap on the top right corner to access this information once again. For example, in the first stage you will be asked to collect wooden boxes and wheels to make a car. Drag and drop each parts to complete the construction and you will be able to make your way across the finish line.

Other stages in Bad Piggies is build based on such concept. You will be presented with more hilarious machines like balloons, propellers, and others. Like i said earlier, the game start very slowly. On the first stages, you will do some basic tutorial to make you get better understanding on how items works in Bad Piggies. For example, attach balloon to a thing will make it float, etc. However, you’re also remember to get three star rating on each stage.

Luckily, Bad Piggies offer better star system than Angry Birds. Instead of guessing what you need to do to get perfect rating, the game will provide you with complete objective list in order to achieve three star rating. One of my favorite is finish a level without using vital part (build car without a wheel for example) or make your way to finish line without suffer any damage.

Bad Piggies is currently packed with up to 90 different game levels. Even if you’re not after perfect score for each stage, you will need couple of hours to finish all of them. For die hard fans, 90 stages might be not enough. But that is exactly why i am so sure that Rovio will release new update in the near future. So, you better wait for another stages and improvement coming guys.
