NTT DoCoMo Unveil Hanashite Hon’yaku Live Translation App

One of the largest carrier in Japan, NTT DoCoMo, is recently introduce new service called as Hanashite Hon’yaku. This new feature offer exciting function to translate your conversations into different language. Let’s say that you say please make reservation in English, Hanashite Hon’yaku will translate your sentence in Japanese words or voice so the person on the other side will be able to understand what you’re currently saying!

What makes it interesting is that Hanashite Hon’yaku only require single phone enabled with such service. NTT DoCoMo said that there are only three languages supported at the moment: English, Chinese, and Korean. If everything goes according to plan, the company will add support for French, German, Italian, Indonesian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai on late November.

So, how much that you should pay to take advantage from this app? Absolutely free! NTT DoCoMo said that they won’t cost anything for Hanshite Hon’yaku service. It will be work like charm on any tablet or smartphone that running on Android 2.2 Froyo or above.
