Nexus 7 might be a great tablet with an affordable price. For less than $200, you can get a device that powered with quad-core processors and running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. No wonder why this device was sold like hot cupcakes since it’s been released three months ago. However, Nexus 7 is currently lack of one important feature, microSD card slot.
Acer seems trying to fill in the hole. By releasing Iconia Tab A110, Acer announce to the world that they also posses an affordable Android 4.1 tablet that posses microSD card slot! Yep, the tablet will soon become available for purchase in US and Canada on October 30. You can grab it for $229 only.
Specs-wise, Iconia Tab A110 is nearly identical to Nexus 7. You will get quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processors, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, 2MP front-facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, and off course, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board. The downside is, Acer Iconia Tab A110 only offer 1024 x 600 display, while Nexus 7 got screen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
But before you make up your mind, i would like to remind you that 32GB version of Google Nexus 7 should be released at some point this year. Approximate retail price is $249. So, you really need to give a serious thought before you decide to buy one of these tablet.
