NTT DoCoMo Unveil World’s Lightest Android Tablet

NTT DoCoMo, one of the biggest carrier in Japan, is proudly present new Android tablet called as NEC Medias Tab UL N08-D. It is currently weighs at 24gram. For your information, Kindle Fire HD weight is measured at 400 gram. Coated with carbon fibre, which claimed to be one of the lightest yet strongest material, Nexus 7 is still weighs at 345 gram. This is mean that NEC Medias Tab UL N08-D might probably the lightest tablet in the world!

So, what is the secret behind the magic? Well, according to NTT DoCoMO the manufacturer using the same material used on modern aircraft industry. The tablet chassis also has 7.9mm thickness. So it should be a great device for any of you who put high value on portability.

When it comes to specs, i must say that NEC Medias Tab UL N08-D is a decent tablet. But nothing more. It sports 7.0″ LCD touch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Deep under it’s hood, lies 1.5GHz dual-core processors and 3,100mAh battery unit. Running on Andorid 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, this tablet promise to provide up to 75mbps download speed. Users will also able to take advantage from it’s 8.0 megapixels rear shutter with Exmor R sensor and 2.0 megapixels web camera.

NEC also include some cool features like multi-tabs view when your browse around the web. The tablet also posses HD haptic function that is currently activated in nearly all elements.
