The wait is finally over. Few weeks ago, i said that Motorola is currently working on new Android smartphone that powered by Intel Atom. Today, the device is officially unveiled by the company! It is currently dubbed as Motorola RAZR i. Could this be the dawning of new Intel era in smartphone industry? All believer should cross their fingers now. Since few months ago, almost any Intel powered handset will go straight to Chinese or minor Europe market. But with RAZR i, Intel will be ready to make it’s first International move.

In terms of specs, Motorola Droid RAZR i carry on similar specs to Droid RAZR M. Except for the fact that the company swap ARM processors for Intel x86 Medfield CPU. Off course that also means that RAZR i will only posses single core, but with faster clock speed. According to Motorola report, RAZR i is manage to provide maximum 2.0GHz CPU clock speed. You will get similar, or even better, performance to ARM dual-core CPU.

Like i said earlier, the rest of RAZR i specs remain similar to RAZR M. You will get 4.3″ screen with qHD resolution, NFC, 8.0 megapixels rear shutter, 8/16/32 GB internal data storage, and microSD card slot for data expansion purpose. RAZR i will be shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but Motorola promise that an official JB update will come at some points this year.

There is no pricing details revealed yet, but release date is planned on October. RAZR i should become available in Europe and Latin America on that time. What about US and Canada? Guess you have to keep an eye on my web page here for more update on that.
