Motorola Droid Xyboard 8.2 and Droid Bionic Gets Android 4.0 Update This Quarter

Verizon has already made promise that all of their capable android will have doze of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich before the end of this year. Off course the carrier has been released some updates in the past six months, but there are more on their list that also dying for the Ice Cream Sandwich. Some of them are Droid Bionic and Droid Xyboard 8.2.

According to early released schedule, the Android 4.0 update for those devices should become available on this quarter. This is consistent with Motorola’s statement, which promise that Ice Cream Sandwich for Xyboard 8.2 and Bionic will be ready on the fourth of quarter of this year. So, if we a are lucky, we can experience ICS on October.

But here is something that make it more interesting. Despite the fact that Droid Xyboard 10.1 and Droid Xyboard 8.2 carry on similar hardware pieces, Motorola already release an Android 4.0 update for the bigger tablet since few months ago! I don’t know what Motorola engineering team had in their mind, but i think it’s just ridiculous.
