Kobo is recently introduce new 7″ Android tablet. For your information, the company was already release similar product called as Kobo Vox last year and it doesn’t get good response from the market. So, what make them think that this brand new hardware will manage to caught people’s attention?

Kobo Arc

But before we get into the main story, let’s start with the other devices. Yep, aside from the new 7″ tablet, Kobo also introduce another three tablets to expand their eReaders lineup. When it comes to eReader device, Kobo is one of the most trusted name. Their eReaders device has been owned by more than 10 million people around the world. No wonder why they want to boost another million to that amount with brand new products.

Let’s start with the Kobo Glo. This device is packed with a brand new technology called as ComfortLight that allow users to experience super reading performance. Well, it might come with an unique name, but this feature is nothing more than “re-branded” frontlit screen technology that you already seen before on Nook color and Kindle Paperwhite. Kobo Glo is currently priced at $199.99 and should become available on the first day of October. Well with that amount of money, i’d rather grab WiFi version of Paperwhite since it is sold for $119 only at the moment.

Other eReader that we have next in line is the brand new Kobo Mini. It is currently packed with 5.0″ screen and claimed as the smallest and lightest eReader around the corner. You will be able to experience the best of eInk feature. Plus, you can easily fit in this device into your jacket or jeans pocket. Kobo said that it should be able to store up to 10,000 ebooks. Mini will become available on the same day with Glo and priced at $79.99 only. On the other hand, Kobo Touch is already avaialble for purchase now, but it is currently receive price cut. You can grab it for $99.99 only.

Last but not least, Kobo also present brand new tablet called as Arc. It is currently running on the modified version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich UI. Kobo decide to call it as Tapestries, a built-in catalog that will provide you with list of recommended apps, games, and ebooks based on your habits. One thing that probably manage to alter all Kindle fans is the fact that Arc allow you to access Google Play store contents instead of Amazon App store. Kobo Arc will be come available in 8GB ($199.99) and 16GB edition ($249.99).

What do you think about Kobo’s new arsenal guys? Do you believe that they will be able to take on Amazon with these new products? Write down your opinion on the comment box below and we might be able to get a nice discussion here.
