AT&T Galaxy S2 Skyrocket SGH-I727 owners now can have the chance to taste Jelly Bean treat. Before you get too excited, this update come in a form of custom ROM known as Liquid pre RC1. It was build based on CyanogenMod 10. The developer said that “everything should work fine”, but since this is a pre release candidate version, you should expect some bugs and errors.

AT&T Galaxy S2 Skyrocket SGH-I727 JB Liquid ROM

Today, i’m gonna teach you how to install Liquid ROM pre RC1 to AT&T Galaxy S2 Skyrocket SGH-I727. Before we start the installation process, make sure that your handset already met the following conditions:

  • It is already rooted and installed with ClockworkMod Recovery
  • Charge your battery until it reach 70% of it’s full power.
  • create back up of all your personal data. Including SMS, contact, and settings

As soon as you finish with all those steps, we can start the installation tutorial right away:

1. Download Liquid ROM and GApps package
2. Move them both to the root folder of your SD card
3. Power Off your Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
4. Enter Recovery Mode by press and hold Volume -, Volume +, and Power buttons
5. Select Backup and Restore > Backup. Create Nandroid backup
6. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset
7. Select Wipe Cache Partition
8. Select Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache
9. Select Install Zip from SD Card > Choose Zip from SD Card > Liquid ROM
10. Do similar thing as you done on step 9, but this time you need to pick GApps package
11. Go back to main menu and select Reboot System Now
