Asus Padfone was already available for purchase in some countries like Australia, India, and Taiwan. However, that doesn’t mean that Asus is not ready to prepare another successor for this phone-tablet-notebook hybrid device. If everything goes according to plan, the Taiwan based company will release Padfone 2 on October 16th in Taiwan and Milan on the same time!

While Asus still remain silent about Padfone 2 specs, our friends at DigiTimes manage to dig out some interesting clue about it. According to them, Padfone 2 will be twice faster and better than the original Padfone. Not to mention that it will be shipped with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board! Off course this is not too surprising since the OS has been available around for nearly four months. However, if you remember the fact that there are some new Android handset released with ICS (Optimus G and Droid RAZR M) you will appreciate the fact that Padfone 2 will feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean since it’s first day.

DigiTimes also told us that Padfone 2 will feature new screen with better resolution. Since the original Padfone sports qHD display, i believe that Padfone 2 will carry on HD screen.

What do you think about this guys?
