Arcane Empires is a good example for the fact that steampunk theme will never be out of date. It is a strategy based game that present with you some gears and buildings that crafted in steampunk style. In fact, the developer of this game, Kabam, was released other game dubbed as Kingdoms of Camelot few months ago. The game was also decorated with steampunk graphics. That is why i can understand why they decide to come out with similar formula with Arcane Empires.

However, this kind of approach also make Arcane Empires lack of fresh look and styles. Gameplay feels exactly like Kingdoms of Camelot, which was released earlier on this year. Both of them share similar menu color scheme. The only thing that make Arcane Empires different from it’s predecessor is the fact that you will get new steampunk styles and graphics.

Just like the previous game, Arcane Empires will ask you to build an empire from scratch. In order to do that, you must gather round resources, building lot of structures, create an army to conquer other areas, invent new taxes, and make your people happy while you go outside to accomplish your expansion desire. If this you first time playing such game, there is no need to worry. There is a NPC (non playable character) archer with brass and leather that will present you with frequent guide. Arcane Empires also offer an exciting battle scene using an amazing arsenal called mechagriffs. Sounds interesting eh? That is probably the main reason why i decide to give Arcane Empires a shot.

Arcane Empires also offer a tempting PvP (player vs player mode). In seven days (game period) you have to build your entire army and city then start to march your warriors to the nort to have a fierce battle with other empire. Be careful, if you’re only play this game for less than 12 hours, i don’t recommend you to even think about PvP mode. You will be crushed with other veteran players in no time. My tips is, try to form a mutual alliance with other players. It will raise your odd to win a battle. Not only bring you with social advantage, you will have to chance to get familiar with other game made by Kabam.

Overall, Arcane Empires is a good alternative for those of you who already bored with the usual fantasy-styled game. It is a fast paced strategy game that won’t provide you with slow harvest waiting-time. That is the exact feature that you will get when you play the Facebook version of the game. No, Android version is way much better than that guys. In the matter of fact. Arcane Empires is also mark Kabam’s huge step to slowly leave Facebook and continue to working their ideas on mobile platform.
