Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is a great OS. It is packed with brand new graphics engine called as Butter Cream. Not to mention that it is also offer deep integrated notification system and brand new Google Now features. No wonder why there are lot of Android enthusiast out there put great faith on the manufacturer of their handset to provide an official Jelly Bean update. So, here come main questions. Which device will receive such update? Which one will be abandoned? And which one that still have some hope for Jelly Bean. Find out the answer on my complete list below.
Already upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean: On this list, we have big names like Asus Transformer Pad TF300. However, the rest list are dominated with Nexus devices like Motorola Xoom, Galaxy Nexus, and Samsung Nexus S
Will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean: Some manufacturer already made promise that they will release an official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for these handsets this year. HTC promise that One X, One S, and One XL will receive the update. Asus engineering team is currently work hard to build JB ROM for Transfomer Pad Prime TF201 and Transformer Pad Infinity TF700. From Motorola side, we have a possible Android 4.1 update for Droid RAZR Maxx, Droid RAZR HD, and Droid RAZR M. Both Samsung and Sony already guarantee that Jelly Bean treat will be available for Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note II, Xperia T, Xperia Tablet S, and Xperia V.
Have great chance to be abandoned: Devices that included on this list are actually have enough specs to run Google’s latest Android. However, since there is no guarantee that the OS will run smoother on them, some manufacturer still haven’t make any decision until now. Ready for the complete list? Here we go. I am warning you, this is a pretty damn long list. First, we’ve got infamous Acer Liquid E, Casio G Zone Commando, Huawei Ascend, Kyocera Echo and Dell Streak.
From HTC side, there are HTC Aria, HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire Z, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Evo 4G, HTC Evo Shift 4G, HTC G2, HTC Inspire 4G, HTC Legend, HTC Magic, HTC Merge, HTC myTouch series, HTC Rhyme, HTC Wildfire.
LG is currently remain silent about the faith of LG Ally, LG Optimus One, LG Phoenix, LG Revolution, and LG Thrill 4G. For Motorola owners, you should not expect Jelly Bean update come to Motorola Backflip, Motorola Bravo, Motorola Cliqs, Motorola Defy, Motorola Droid, Motorola Droid 2, Motorola Flipside, Motorola Droid X, Motorola Milestone, Motorola Milestone 2, and Motorola Milestone X.
Last but not least, we have a possible left behind list from Samsung. This list include old devices like Samsung Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Appolo, Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Gio, Galaxy Mini, Galaxy Player, Galaxy Prevail, Galaxy S Plus, Galaxy S SCL, Galaxy W, Galaxy Infuse 4G, Samsung Intercept, Samsung Infuse 4G, Samsung Replenish, Samsung and Transform.
