Sony is recently introduce the arrival of new Xperia handsets at IFA 2012 in Berlin. There are total of three new Android handset that Sony bring on the annual electronic manufacturer event. They are the new member of Xperia family called as Xperia T, Xperia V, and Xperia J. As you can see on the render image that i posted below, they’re look quite similar.
Let’s start with the Xperia T, shall we? This handset was previously known as Xperia Mint. Same as Xperia J, we’ve already spot this handset in the wild since couple of months ago. On the other hand i’ve never head any news about Xperia V but it is not a big deal at all. Look at it’s specs and i can say with high level of confidence that it is just a smaller version of Xperia T with 4G LTE radio and rugged chassis.
Sony also explain that Xperia T will be sold as Xperia TX in some market. For what reason, i really have no idea.
In terms of specs, Sony Xperia T is currently powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processors. It is also accompanied by 13.0 megapixels rear shutter with fast capture mode and 1080p HD video recording. You can also take advantage from it’s NFC and MHL connectivity. There is no need to worry about it’s display quality since Sony packed Xperia T with 4.65″HD touchscreen. This handset is currently running on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and absolutely upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. For those of you who interested, Xperia T will be released in three different colors: black, silver, and white.
Let’s continue with the next handset guys. We have another Xperia handset called as Xperia V. It sports 4.3″ touchscreen with HD resolution. It is currently packed with all hardware pieces that present on Xperia T. The only difference that i am able to find between these two handsets is Xperia V posses 4G LTE Radio and coated with water-dustproof chassis. Similat to it’s non 4G LTE sibling, Xperia V will be released in three different color: pink, black, and white.
Last but not least, we’ve got Xperia J in Sony’s latest Android lineup. It is currently measured at 9.2mm thin. In terms of display, Xperia J posses 4.0″ touch screen with 480×854 pixels resolution. Sony also include 5.0 megapixels rear shutter and front-facing camera. They decide to remain silent about the rest of Xperia J specs, so i assume that this handset is jut an entry level phone from Sony. According to the company, Xperia J will be available for purchase by the end of this year.
Well, that is all i can tell you right now guys. Sony seems not learning really well from the past. Instead of presenting new handset with an actual “new” specs, they once again release Xperia device that already fall one step behind other competitors. I mean, there are lot of people out there that hope they will release a quad-core or Android 4.1 Jelly Bean handset this year. What do you think about this guys? Do you believe that Sony will manage to gain more popularity this year with this strategy?tags: Android, release, Sony, Specs, Xperia J, Xperia T, Xperia V
