It might sounds little bit late, but Samsung is finally releasing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy Tab 10.1. SamMobile reported that it should be available for the WiFi-only GTab 10.1 today in UK and Italy. Why i call it late? Well, similar update has come in form of CyanogenMod 9 ROM since few months ago. It runs pretty well on my Galaxy Tab 10,1 and i simply don’t have any reason to move on with this official one.

But off course if you’re a “casual” android users, you should be happy with this update. There is no need to root or any risky steps to do. Just wait for the official notification on your tablet and your GTab 10.1 will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in no time.

This also mean that Samsung is indeed kept their promise. Few months ago, the Korean giant announce that they will provide Ice Cream Sandwich treat to all Galaxy Tab family. First tablet that receive Android 4.0 update is Galaxy Tab 7.7.

Aside from the new Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, this update also contain new Samsung TouchWiz UX UI. This is mean that your old Galaxy Tab will running on the same OS as the new Galaxy Tab 2 series.

I have no idea when the 3G edition of Galaxy Tab 10.1 will get Ice Cream Sandwich update since Samsung doesn’t mention anything about it. But if you want to know more, stay tune on my web page here. I might come back with some updated news soon.
