Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs iPhone 5

Samsung was rumored to release Galaxy Note 2 earlier this year because they want to avoid early clash with Apple iPhone 5. I couldn’t agree more that these two handsets will be able to feature headlines of every tech magazine or webpage in the next few months. But, it is right to compare both of them? I mean, it seems like Galaxy Note 2 and iPhone 5 are made for different demographics. For instance, Galaxy Note 2 has bigger screen support for stylus usage. On the other side, although rumored to feature bigger screen that it’s predecessors, iPhone 5 might still maintain the series’ signature, which lies on slim chassis and tiny dimension.

However, i can’t deny the fact that i am also interested to see how these two smartphones crush against each other in a vicious battles. Today, i decide to provide you with some of my prediction. Without any more delay, i present you Galaxy Note 2 vs iPhone 5.

Screen display. Like i said earlier, Galaxy Note 2 is definitely created for someone who love to work with large device. It is said that this handset will feature 5.5″ touch screen. On the other hand, iPhone 5 will try to attract customer’s attention with it’s smaller 4″ display. Off course with the addition of Retina Display.

Design. iPhone 5 was reported to look different from previous model. It is said that in order to accompany the latest processing unit, Apple designed to new chassis for iPhone 5. Since there is no official render image released until this day, we can’t just wander how it will look like on the real life. On the other hand, Galaxy Note 2 design is said to be inspired with Galaxy S III. This is mean that we might able to see new Galaxy Note that slimmer than the previous model.

OS. iPhone 5 will be the first device from the Cupertino based company that running on the brand new iOS 6. This new OS was already presented at WWDC event earlier on this month. There are two big changes in iOS 6. First, Apple decide to kick Google Map and replace it with their own. Second, it now has deep integrated notification system, which is already available on Android since few years. On the other side, Galaxy Note 2 is definitely has what it takes to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But i doubt that Samsung will release the handset with such OS. It more likely they will introduce it with Android 4.0 than provide an official Jelly Bean update one or two months later.

Processors. iPhone 5 will be powered by an upgraded CPU of iPhone 4S, which is rumored to be called as A5X chip. There still now words about it’s performance or what kind of features that it offer. On the other hand, it is almost certain that Galaxy Note 2 will feature Samsung’s own quad-core Exynos 5250 processors under it’s hood.

Camera. Galaxy Note 2 is said to carry on a beast 12.0 megapixels rear shutter. But on the other hand, Apple is ready to shock market once again by putting a DSLR-like camera with changeable lens on iPhone 5! I know that sounds insane, but Retina Display was never crossed on my mind few years ago and yet, they manage to make it come true.

Well, that is all i can tell you right now guys. Galaxy Note 2 is expected to come out at IFA Berlin 2012 since Samsung already spread some exclusive invitation for an special unpacking event there. On the other side, iPhone 5 will make it’s debut later on this year. What do you think about this? Ready to welcome two new mobile phone heroes?
