How to Use Quick Response Feature on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

From time to time, voicemail has become our best friend to tell our caller that we’re currently on the situation where we are unable to talk on phone. However, technology has been grow rapidly in the past year. If you’re currently work with latest Android phone, you can even send a text message to your declined caller.

Android 4.0 quick response

When i mention “latest”, i mean that your handset must be run on at least Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. On this OS, you should be able to access new feature called as “quick response”. Like i said earlier, it will allow you to send predetermined text message as an immediate response to your caller. You can pick messages like “I’ll Call You Later”, “Can’t Talk Right Now” or even type your own quick response message.

So, here i am today. I will show you how to activate this quick response feature. For your information, i am currently using Samsung Galaxy Nexus that running on stock version of Android 4.0 OS.

1. When your phone is currently got a new phone call, look at the bottom of the screen. You should see a tiny message icon next to accept and decline button. Tap on this button to activate “quick response”
2. Alternatively, you can also drag the ring on the lock screen to similar icon in order to execute quick response feature
3. The moment after you tap the quick response icon, you will be presented with list of messages that you can send to your caller
4. In order to edit those messages, you can navigate to Phone > Menu > Settings > Quick Responses
