Nvidia CEO: Android Tablet Start to Resonate with Market
Google Nexus 7 is now considered as one of the best Android tablet around. It is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core CPU. Lately, the chipset company’s CEO make an interesting statement. Jen-Hsun Huang, the President and CEO for Nvidia, said that Nexus 7 is not a less expensive alternative for Apple’s iPad. However, it is the best device so far that able to embrace millions of Android users around the world.
As you might already know, we’ve already seen plenty of Android tablet released in the past few years. Sadly, on few of them manage to make the headline, while no device that able to caught interest of millions Android users. Hsuang said that Nexus 7 is the first Android tablet that allow user to really enjoy all apps that they’ve invested in for their smartphone on device with larger high-resolution screen.
Hsuang statement was made in order to respond media’s question about how Nvidia manage to record high sales point in third quarter this year. In fact, those numbers are high above company’s early prediction. Hsuang explained that it all begin when Google decide to build an Android OS that specially designed for tablet, Honeycomb. The giant search company then decide to revolutionize the platform by release Ice Cream Sandwich, the first Android OS that optimized for both smartphone and tablet. This new OS make it easier for developer to create an app for phone and tablet at once. In addition, Google added more perfection to Ice Cream Sandwich by announcing the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Nexus 7 is the first device in this world that running on such OS.
Hsuang said that he can’t deny the fact that he is really happy for the positioning of Android tablet right now. He said that these kind of devices are now start to resonate with the market place and it seems like there are lot of experts start to believe in Hsuang opinion. Few months ago, Apple was reported to own 65 percent of tablet market around this planet. However, looking at the rapid growth of interest for Google Nexus 7, analyst suggest that the Cupertino based company might lost their share to 61 percent at the end of this year.
