Latest statistics suggest that there are only 0.8% Android around the world running on Jelly Bean OS and that is not a good news. Why? Well, all those 0.8% devices are Google’s own Nexus 7 tablet, the first Jelly Bean tablet released in this world. As an Android enthusiast, i think that this is a pretty serious situation. Google and manufacturers need to do something about this.

Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Android 4.1

Luckily, they respond to this situation better than the time when they deal with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Galaxy Nexus and Motorola Xoom were quickly upgraded to Android 4.1, two weeks after Nexus 7 made it’s first public appearance. However, the 4G LTE edition of Xoom, now sit on Verizon shelves, hasn’t receive it’s own Jelly Bean treat. But the good news is it might be available earlier than expected.

Droid Life note that Android 4.1.1 update for Xoom 4G LTE will be released by the end of this week. They also manage to come out with an image that look like an authentic screenshot taken from Xoom 4G LTE running on Jelly Bean. The build number of this update is said to be JR003H. Since it’s still not official yet, we should wait until next week to find out if they are telling the truth.

One thing that make Android update distribution run slow is because carrier need to run few tests to see if it’s works pretty well with their own apps and service. Verizon does this kind of thing too. That is why it takes some time before Xoom 4G LTE upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Well, that is all i can tell you right now. I hope that you all Xoom 4G LTE owners will be able to experience Jelly Bean by the end of this week. If you somehow manage to get an early release, please let me know. I am very interested!
