LG Optimus Vu Head to Verizon This Year

LG Optimus Vu is considered as the company’s answer to Samsung Galaxy Note. This device sports large screen and support for stylus usage. Vu has been available on the market for couple of months now. It might not sold very well like Note, but LG’s recent report explain that Vu was manage to record 500,000 millions unit sales record on the previous quarters. This is probably the main reason why there’s a big US carrier that interested to pick Vu as the latest member of their android lineup.

For those of you who are wondering, the big carrier that i am talking about here is no other than Verizon Wireless! The Big Red plan to bring LG Optimus Vu to statesides before the end of 3rd quarter this year. There is no doubt about this news since i’m was also receive a leaked document of FCC filling that note Optimus Vu will be released as Verizon branded device soon.

Like i said earlier, LG Optimus Vu was already available in the market for couple of months, at least for Korean people. If you’re happen to live in the country, you should be able to grab the device since March. The handset itself was introduced for the first time on February at MWC 2012 in Barcelona. It has strange 4:3 screen size. That is also the main reason why Vu get lot of attention from media on that day.

So, now we know that LG Optimus Vu will definitely head to Verizon Wireless this year. But the thing is, we have no idea about when it is exactly happen. In terms of specs, LG Optimus Vu sports 5.0″ touch screen. It is currently running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Deep under it’s hood, lies a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processors that clocked at 1.5GHz, or similar to Galaxy S III.
