LG Optimus Black Confirmed to Receive Android 4.0 Update

LG Optimus 2X was already confirmed to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update this year. Now, i have another good news for LG fans. It seems like LG Optimus Black will also receive it’s Ice Cream Sandwich treat this year!

This news received from Indian website known as TechCovet. They’re recently manage to spotted new retail package of LG Optimus Black. As you can see on the right part of the cardboard box, it is clearly stated that the handset is upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Off course we have no idea when it will happen, but it must be very relieving to know that an Android 4.0 update is definitely cooking right now.

LG Optimus Black was released on May 2011 with Android 2.2 Froyo on board. It was already upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. In terms of specs, Optimus Black sports 4.0 inch IPS screen with WVGA resolution. Deep under it’s hood, lies 1.0GHz single-core CPU, 512MB RAM, and 2GB internal memory.
