HTC Desire S Upgraded with Android 4.0 This Month
HTC was already made promise that some of their Android handset will get Android 4.0 upgrade this summer. The Taiwan based company post a specific schedule on it’s Facebook page, noting that HTC Thunderbolt and Desire S will have their Ice Cream Sandwich treat “by the end of August”. So, if you still believe in HTC’s promise, you should get ready to welcome your Android 4.0 update soon!
Aside from those two handsets, HTC also promise that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update will also available for any handset “that have been announced” at the end of this month too. This is mean that their other device like Droid Incredible 2, should be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for few days on early September. So, if for some reason the update are not rolling out in the next two weeks, you can consider it as a delay. But off course, i am not hoping that to happen.
HTC Desire S was promised to get Android 4.0 update at some point between June and July. However, for some unknown reason, the company decide to delays it. This announcement made on the same time when HTC decide to shut down Android 4.0 firmware development for Desire HD. Soon after that, lot of Desire S owners were worried if the company will cancel ICS for their handset as well. Luckily, that seems not the case right now. Let’s just hope that what HTC say is true, then you will be able to taste Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of this month.
What do you think about this guys? Do you think that HTC will be able to kept their promise? Boy i really hope that they will issued Android 4.0 update for Desire S ASAP.
