How to Update Samsung Galaxy S2 to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with Official UHLPV ROM
Samsung finally release official Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update to Samsung Galaxy S2. The update version is UHLPV ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2. As this is not a branded firmware, it should work on any unlocked Galaxy S2 phone.

Before updating, we should prepare all that is needed to update your Samsung Galaxy S2 to Android Ice Cream Sandwich UHLPV ROM. Ok, here they are.

1. Backup your smartphone. Before updating, backup all of your ads. You can use some backup apps to save your contacts, apps or data.
2. Install Samsung KIES to your computer. Or you can download here
3. Your Samsung Galaxy S2′s bootloader must be UNLOCKED!
4. Make sure the battery remains at least 90% percent. To avoid failed update process because lack of battery life.
5. You can install this update to your rooted Galaxy S2, but right after the installation process, you’ll lose your root access. You can re-root it.
How to Update Samsung Galaxy S2 to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with Official UHLPV ROM
1. Download the Official UHLPV ROM here. Extract it and save in your folder.
2. Download ODIN v1.85 here.
3. Shut down your smartphone. Go to DOWNLOAD MODE (Press Volume Down + Home + Power button), You’ll get the download mode screen.4.Ensure again that KIES is installed in your computer.
5. Open ODIN and Connect your smartphone (in download mode) to your computer. You’ll see YELLOW notifications from ODIN. It tells that your smartphone is connected ( usually with COM i.e COM 13, COM 9 (depend on your PC))
6.Now, in ODIN, choose the update files from UHLPV ROM which already extracted in your folder.
Fill it correctly :
Press PDA button, choose file starts with ‘CODE’ on its name
Press PHONE button, choose ‘MODEM’. (Ignore if the file is missing)
Press CSC, choose ‘CSC’ file
Click on PIT and tap on the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.8. In ODIN, enable the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options. As for the Re-Partition option, enable it ONLY if you selected a .PIT file in the previous step.
9. Now you’re ready to update your Samsung Galaxy S2. Click ‘Start’ to begin the update process. It may take 3-5 minutes to complete.
10. Your smartphone will reboot automatically. Congratulations, your Samsung Galaxy S2 is running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich UHLPV ROM. To ensure, Go to Settings >> About Phone and see the Android version
