Five HTC’s Handsets to Taste Jelly Bean This Year

August 7, 2012 John Reyvaldi Android News

Latest report suggest that HTC is currently having a bad time right now. Their sales revenue report suggest that there is a major decline from last year’s result It is said that the Taiwanese giant’s pofit dropped to 58%. I have no idea how they will manage to get out from such situation, but i hope that HTC won’t reduce their support for loyal customers. Thankfully, the company respond well to my expectation by providing us with an announcement of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

Here’s the complete list of HTC’s handsets that will taste Jelly Bean this year.

HTC One X Jelly Bean

HTC One X. There is no doubt that this device will run on Jelly Bean this year. It is the company’s current flagship android phone. Released with quad-core CPU and 1GB RAM, HTC One X has what it takes to run Android 4.1. Jeff Gordon, the Global Online Communication Manager for HTC, said that the update will be available at some point this year.

HTC One S. Jeff Gordon also confirm that One S will taste Jelly Bean update this year. This handset was released at MWC 2012 in Spain, alongside with HTC One X, although it has less powerful hardware pieces than it’s brother. I am pretty sure that HTC will be able to release Jelly Bean update for One S since XDA members have manage to make CM10 ROM run on it

HTC Evo 4G LTE. One of the most popular handset from the company. Mostly because it is support for 4G LTE connectivity. Some XDA members already able to port Jelly Bean to Evo 4G LTE via CM10 JB ROM, proving that this Sprint’s handset is able to run on Android 4.1 OS.

HTC Rezound. This one year old device has what it takes to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But the thing is, it might take long time before HTC decide to provide (or even release) the update for Rezound. As you might know, Rezound’s Android 4.1 update was just available around the corner six month ago. But if HTC plan to keep some of their precious loyal customers, they better release an Android 4.1 update for Rezound.

HTC Sensation 4G. Do you think that 1.2GHz CPU and 768MB RAM are good enough to run Jelly Bean? I believe it will and that is why HTC is suppose to provide Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Sensation 4G. Aside from the hardware specs, Sensation 4G is also one of the most popular Android device in US. Releasing new OS update should be able to improve HTC’s popularity on the statesides.

Well, that is all i can tell you right now guys. If you think that there are other HTC device that deserve to taste Jelly Bean too, please inform me via comment box below. Who knows if some HTC engineering team read our opinion and make it come true!
