Final Fantasy III Head to Ouya in March 2013

Final Fantasy III is finally coming to Android! But wait, unlike the first and second installment of the series, it won’t be released via Google Play store. Squre Enix seems see bright future on Ouya, first Android-based game console, that they decide to bring FF III to it. According to their official spokeperson FF III will be available for Ouya console on March 2013. This is really awesome guys! I was not too optimistic when Ouya presented as cheap Android game console, but now that Square Enix decide to back up the, i start to have some faith on it.

Final Fantasy III was released for the first time in 1990. The game was updated few times and released for different consoles like Nintendo DS, iOS, and PSP. Square Enix explain that Ouya edition of FF II will based on DS 3D remake that was released in 2006. I bet that guys inside Ouya developer team are very happy to welcome this. According to their official statement, this will be the first time gamers outside Japan can play FF III on their TV via game console.

Ouya and Square Enix also agreed to release demo version of FF III. This is to accommodate any gamers that is not too familiar with the FF series. Square Enix promise that they will provide more content for Ouya in the near future.

Ouya game console was start it’s adventure on Kickstarter project. The developer manage to gain $950,000 donation from customers to make this project come true. It comes in a cubical form. Deep inside, you can find nice hardware pieces like Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, 8GB internal data storage, 1GB RAM, HDMI TV ports, and 1080p video support.
