Camera ZOOM FX. Best Camera App for Android

Interested to take your android photography to the next level? Then why don’t you install a photo enhancer app on your smartphone. But wait, forget about Instagram, that is only for teenage girls who want to impress their friend with burn effect profile picture on Facebook. If you want to try the real deal, you better look at Camera ZOOM FX. Packed with professional-looking interface, wide range of effect, and tons of amazing filters, i can see why there are more than 500,000 android users now using this app on their phone.

But remember, this app won’t be able make your 2.0 megapixels camera to take picture with equivalent quality to Sony Xperia S camer with Exmor sensor. The result of the image is still depend on your hardware guys.

Like i said earlier, Camera ZOOM FX is packed with an incredible interface. It is very intuitive. You will find lot of control buttons on both left and right flank. On the left hand side, you should be able to locate zoom slider control, LED flashlight button, and other one tap command like white balance setting, autofocus, and filters selection. On the opposite side, lies additional features like burst shot, self timer, and time-lapse mode. One thing that i don’t really like from Camera ZOOM FX is the placement of shutter button. It is too close to the mode option icon. Not to mention that it is also presented in small size, making it hard to not accidentaly press the mode button while i want to take a snapshot.

You might also disappointed to know that some default features are not supported by Camera ZOOM FX. For instance, if you’re currently use HTC Sensation XE, you won’t be able to use face detection and video capture with this app. I also notice that there is no possibility to use touch focus option and focus-lock feature.

There are total of 10 different FX presets and tons of effect filters. They are pretty easy to use. If you are familiar with app like Instagram or Camera 360, you should find no trouble applying effect on Camera ZOOM FX. However, i can’t believe that the developer decide not to include setting menu for each filters. This is mean that you won’t be able to set the strength of a filer that you like. I mean, we’re not always capture photo in an environment with good lighting, that is why we need to adjust the filter to make for different situation.

Overall, Camera ZOOM FX won’t bring huge change to phone with godlike shutter like HTC One X and Galaxy S III. It has some excitiing filters, but not as much as any other app. But if you’re happen to own handset with minimum camera features, Camera ZOOM FX will make a good complement.
