Archos Gen10 XS Officially Announced. Feature Magnetic Keyboard Cover

Archos Gen10 XS is officially announced and it will become commercially available for all UK customers in the next few weeks. Archos prevoious products were well known for their affordable price and fine build quality. But aside from these two standard features. Archos decide to add something different on Gen10 XS. Similar to Microsoft Surface, the tablet feature removable magnetic cover that can act as keyboard and kickstand as well.

Archos Gen10 XS will be priced at €299 when it’s become available in September. The French company also explain that 9.7″ and 8″ version will be introduced later on this year.

In terms of specs, Archos Gen10XS is not disappointing at all. It is currently powered by dual-core processors that clocked at 1.5GHz and posses 16GB internal memory. For those of you who claim yourself as an Anroid purist, you will be happy to know that Archos Gen10 XS will run on vanilla version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. In order to add more bargain, Archos also told me that an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update should be available for download somewhere around November this year.

Archos Gen10 XS display posses 16:10 aspect ratio and able to provide maximum 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. No Corning Gorilla glass here, which explain it’s cheap price tag. But Archos claim that Gen10 XS screen will as much durable as any other fine tablet that you can find on the market. In order to guarantee your satisfaction, Archos also use stainless steel material to coat Gen10 XS tablet.
