How to Use Android Phone as Webcam

Web chatting can provide you with different experience than regular text based chatting. You can view your friend’s actual face expression and reaction when you something. Unfortunately, not all PC or latop are packed with built-in webcam. But if you have an Android handset, you can use it to substitute webcam! So, there is no need to buy separate webcam guys, you can just hook up your Android phone on your laptop or PC every time you want to have a nice web chat session with your friends or love ones. In order to use your Android phone as webcam, you’re gonna need a special android app. In this tutorial, i decide to use DroidCam. It is available in free version is easier to install than any other app. After spending couple of minutes with this app, i found that Gmail and Skype are very compatible with DroidCam. You can also take advantage from both WiFi and Bluetooth network. I notice that audio work quite fine, but it is little bit choppy for me. But that’s okay, at least you can form a fine web chat session right? So, are you ready to learn how to use DroidCam? Here is my step by step guide

1. Download DroidCam for your computer and install it
2. Download DroidCam for Android and install it as well
3. Run DroidCam on your computer and pick what kind of network that you want to use, WiFi, USB, or Bluetooth
4. For those of you who want to use WiFi network, you need to enter the IP address that appear on your phone to DroidCam client. Do not forget to pick audio, video, or both
5. Click on connect button to start streaming your video
6. In Skype or Gmail chat, you need to select DroidCam as source
