WikiPad Specs Teared Down. Read it Here!!
There’s been lot of company try to bring “gaming tablet” concept to real world. One of them is WikiPad. The company was showcased it’s first gaming tablet with similar name at CES 2012. When i saw WikiPad tablet in Vegas, it is a 7″ tablet that running on Android 4.0. But as time goes by, there are lot of changes has been done to WikiPad. Now, it become a 10.1″ tablet with IPS panel that able to provide maximum 1280 x 800 pixels resolution.
Deep under it’s surface, lies Nvidia Tegra 3 T30 quad-core processors that clocked at 1.4GHz. Little bit more powerful than Nexus 7, which is understandable since this device designed for gaming purpose. But you might be disappointed to know that it only has DDR2 1GB RAM, while Transformer TF700 has DDR3 RAM with similar amount. Last report suggest that WikiPad already run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and will have “at least” 16GB internal memory.
Other thing that become the main attraction from WikiPad is the built-in game controller. As you can see on the image above, the device is currently posses two thumb sticks on it’s top side. You can also see that it has pair of triggers, four face buttons, two bumpers, start, and select button. I must admit that this addition make WikiPad looks weird, but that shouldn’t be a big problem if you want to seek the most convenience gaming experience from a tablet.
Talk about prices, there is still no information about it. I also have no idea when WikiPad will finally available for purchase. I hope that the company will release it in reasonable price, because that is the only way to attract customer’s attention from other popular tablet like TF700 or Nexus 7.
