Sony Xperia S, Xperia U, and Xperia P Land on US as Unlocked Devices
It seems like this is a good day for all Sony fans in US. Today, i’ve receive a news that Xperia trio are already land on our beloved country. They’re Xperia S, Xperia U, and Xperia P or Sony’s love to called them as Xperia NXT. Any customers who interested to grab them should go to Sony’s online store or Newegg. All of them offered as unlocked handset and it seems like there’s no local carrier that interested to take these Xperias as part of their android lineup. So, you can kiss a goodbye for the subsidized version.
Xperia S, which is currently offer similar specs to AT&T Xperia Ion, priced at $559.99. You should be able to choose between the black and white edition. On the other hand, Xperia P is released in three different version: black, silver, and red. In order to grab this one, you need to pay no less than $479.99. Finally, Sony ask $299.99 for Xperia U. It is currently available in black-pink, black-white, and black-yellow.
Both Xperia P and Xperia U are still running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread right now, which is quite disappointing. Especially if you consider the fact that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has been available around the corner for a week. Fortunately, they’ve got the Xperia S, the only member of Xperia NXT that feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on-board.
