No Android 4.0 for LG Optimus 2X!

LG Optimus 2X owners, you better start digging more information about any ICS (or even Jelly Bean?) custom ROM that compatible with your device right now. Based on the report that recently came to my desk today, LG seems already given up on providing Android 4.0 update for Optimus 2X. This is quite disappointing since there were some statement made on the Internet that 2X is listed among LG handset that will taste Ice Cream Sandwich dessert this year. Oh boy.

This news came from LG Canada’s Twitter account. The company’s local representative clearly stated that “LG Optimus 2X will not receiving the ICS upgrade“. They also mention that “The original update announcement was general statement issued from HQ.”

I have no idea what is the “general statement” suppose to mean. Does LG Canada refuse to confirm Android 4.0 update for Optimus 2X while LG main headquarter in Korea said yes? I am pretty confused right now. But since this one came from official source, you better not pray for any Android 4.0 upgrade for Optimus 2X anymore guys. Just put your hope on Android developer community. Let’s hope that they will have enough free time and passion to build ICS custom ROM for your handset!
