Net Nanny Keep Your Son Safe From the Malicious Internet
If you worry about the safety of Internet these days, but don’t want to keep your son away from the technologies, you can count on Net Nanny now! It is an Android app that will prevent your son from being exploited by inappropriate content, Internet scan, or other malicious thing that you can find on the web. The good thing is that Net Nanny offer monthly or one year subscription that will cost you $19.99 or $9.99, respectively. That price is valid for each device. So, if you want to add more device, you need to throw another cash. I personally interested to use this app since some of my nephew are used to install something that i don’t want whey they use my smartphone.
Net Nanny is not support for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean yet, but the developer said that they will provide such update real soon. In the mean time, i already test the service using my friend’s Galaxy S II and it is work like a charm!
The moment after you install Net Nanny, it will block all other web browser on your device. Let’s say that if your kids try to open Facebook with Opera Mini, the app will say BLOCKED and come out with the button to direct users to Net Nanny browser. Just like the desktop version of the app, you can configure list of websites that you want to block. But if you don’t have time to do that, it is fine since Net Nanny is packed with the most complete database of blocked URLs that feature inappropriate content.
There are lot of category to choose, you can pick to block some websites that related to gambling, nudity, porn, profanity, even some common content like anime and swimwear. But like i said earlier, you can modify your own filters and add the URLs that you think contain dangerous thing. One thing that i don’t like from this app is the fact that you need to login to remote Web portal of Net Nanny to give a white list mark on a specific web page. So, let’s say you need to open TMZ for 5 minutes, you need to open the Net Nanny first and wait for the synchronization process. But still, it is a really worth app if you want to provide extra protection to your son.
How’s about that guys? Interested to buy the app? Please let me know what do you think about this.
