It’s Official! HTC One X, One XL, and One S Upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Yesterday, Telstra was give us a little breeze of wind when they tipped HTC One XL and One S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update through a leaked internal system snapshot. Today, HTC finally come out with an official statement about it! The Taiwan based company said that the International edition of HTC One X will be updated to Android 4.1 as well. Personally, i am not too surprised with this since the handset is not that different from One XL and One S. But still, HTC is the first major smartphone OEM that announce their project to provide Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. I hope that other company will follow their step soon.
Just like always, there is no exact release date revealed. The company’s statement only tell us that the “timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean’ will be unveiled later”. Basically, we just have to wait for other official announcement to find out when the update will roll-out. Engadget is also told us that the AT&T’s, T-Mobile’s, and Roger’s HTC One X and One S will also receive Jelly Bean treat soon.
However, i am still not very sure if HTC also decide to provide similar update to One V, which is the weakest member of One series smartphone. I will let you know when i manage to figure it out.
Until then, why don’t you swarm around my web page and read some other interesting news?
