Five Main Problems in Google Nexus 7

Nexus 7 tablet is selling like a hotcake right now. The tablet is currently priced at $199 (8GB edition) or similar to Amazon Kindle Fire, but with better specs and direct support from the Android’s chef. No wonder why there are huge demand for this tablet. In fact, if you look at Google Play store today, you will see that the 16GB edition of Nexus 7 is listed as “coming soon” device. If you were two days earlier, you would’ve seen it “shipped within 2-3 days”. This is mean that Google Nexus 7 16GB is already sold out!!

However, not all customers are that satisfied when they found Nexus 7 arrive at their doorstep. In order to achieve the price tag, it seems like Google and Asus were sacrifice some quality in the manufacturing. I’ve already met some of my friends that already own the tablet. Almost everyone of them are able to mention at least one issue on their Nexus 7 tablet. So, today i decide to make list of five most important problems on the Nexus 7 tablet. Here we go guys.

Screen Separation. Not all Nexus 7 units were build in the same standard. The result? you might find your tablet creaking when you touch it at certain point. This is happen because Google use the plastic bezel to cover up the display. Some friends told me that you can fix this problem manually, but i suggest you to swap the tablet for a new one instead. Google said that you can do that within 15 days from the day when you purchase the tablet.

Ghosting effect. Some tech expert prefer to call this problem as image retention. This is the constant problem that happen when you use a product with an IPS panel. Luckily, this kind of issue is not found in all Nexus 7 unit, although it is not change the fact that the problem is quite annoying. The ghosting image will appear if you set the brightness level to maximum and it will stay there for some moment when your screen is fading

Charging problem. Nexus 7 was also spotted with the charging issue. Few days ago, i’ve been told that a friend of mine is having trouble when he want to charge his Nexus 7. The adapter is simply won’t deliver the current, even when he try it with another charging wall. Google’s customer service refuse to take any responsible act for this and insist my friend to call the retailer instead.

Touch Detection. Love to use your tablet for playing games? then this is a really bad news for you. Reports said that when the Tegra 3 CPU heat up due to long time usage on graphics-demanding game, the display responsiveness will be reduced drastically. As soon as your Nexus 7′s temperature dropping, you will gain your responsiveness back

Microphone. Some XDA members were complaining that the microphone part on their Nexus 7 is practically dead. This problem is not widespreading and you can apply Google’s 15 days policy to it.
