CyanogenMod 9 RC2 Officially Released. Added Support for Galaxy S III. Download it here!
One day before Google release Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at I/O Conference 2012, CyanogenMod team release the CM9 RC1 ROM. You might notice the RC letters on the name of the ROM. It stands for “Release Candidate”, which is mean that the team has done thorough inspection on the ROM and find no trouble or bugs at all, but they’re not sure yet if it’s completely free from any errors. So, you can consider this one as ROM that already between beta and final release.
Off course they will release another RC if some users manage to find more bugs on the ROM. As soon as the issues fixed, the RC2 will be available and so on. But from what i read on the CyanogenMod’s official blog, the CM9 RC2 is the the last Release Candidate. The team tipped that the final release will come in the next two or three weeks. Soon after the CM9 take off the ground, the team will move on to the next project. The CyanogenMod 10! This will be their latest cool project that based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean!! Awesome, i can’t wait to see what kind of new features that they implement on this new build.
CyanogenMod 9 ROM is compatible with tons of Android devices. If you want, you can read the full compability list on their official blog. But i found something interesting when i visit the web page few days ago. The team now added support for five more device: Samsung Galaxy S III i9300, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Samsung Galaxy S II Hercules, and AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note.
If you interested to try the CyanogenMod experience on your Android, you can download the ROM here (http://get.cm/?type=RC) and if you really like their work, you might want to donate some money to them. I think that we should do that since the team do all these amazing things for free right now and use their free time to work on this project. So, a couple of bucks could cheer them up to move on with the next project. This article is helpful for our readers when they're searching about cyanogenmod 9 rc2 galaxy mini, samsung i405 cyanogenmod
