Amazon will Release FoxConn-Made Android Phone This Year!

Amazon was reported to own more than half of tablet market share few months ago. This happen after their Kindle Fire tablet manage to become one of US best selling tablet and the top Android tablet in the world. No wonder why the retailer company is now seeking for more income. Amazon is expected to release Kindle Fire 2 (or Kindle Fire HD?) within few months. Personally, i can’t wait for the arrival of this new tablet. That’s because it will heat up the competition since Google is recently announce their own 7″ tablet, Nexus 7, and Apple was predicted to release the affordable iPad Mini by the end of this year.

However, that is not the big news that i’m about to tell you today. According to a trusted source, two actually, who claim to be working on with Amazon for the distribution of their latest product, there will be a new Android phone from the retailer released this year! Well done Amazon. After some quite silence movement on the first two quarter of this year, now they come with a shocking news like this. What make is even more interesting is that the Amazon phone will be manufactured by FoxConn, the same company that create all Apple’s mobile product.

I was soon imagine about bunch of law suit about patent infringement that Amazon is about to suffer due to this plan. However, my weariness was soon disappear since the anonymous sources also explain that Amazon is now seeking to acquire patent that cover wireless tech. That should be more than enough to pack them with precious ammunition in patent battles against Apple, or even Microsoft!

Sadly, there’s still no leaked details about the upcoming Amazon android phone. All i know that it will look or at least build with the same quality as iPhone since it come out from the same kitchen. Two, it will be an affordable product like Kindle Fire. Hope that my last speculation doesn’t mean that Amazon is sacrificing some specs to achieve low price. That will be the most terrible decision. Nvidia is recently move the Kai platform to smartphone, so we can create such device with Tegra 3 in low production cost. Now Amazon, surprise me will you?
