Sony Push Android 4.0 Update for Xperia Active and Tablet P

Sony is one of the smartphone and tablet manufacturer in the world that deserve to receive credits for providing Android 4.0 update. The Japan based company is already push out such firmware update for all Xperia handset that released on 2011 and Tablet S. Now, same update is already available for Tablet P and Sony Xperia Active.

Sony Tablet P Android 4.0 Update

The Android 4.0 update for Sony Tablet P was already announced last week. It is said that the update should be ready on the same time with Tablet S, but due to dual-screen form factor, the company has to re-designed the OS to accommodate dual-screen layout.

Once the update process is complete, the Sony Tablet P will running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which also mean that users will be able to experience tons of new features. Browser and multi-tasking performance should be slightly improved. Sony also said that users will be granted with option to switch between the mobile and desktop version of a website with ease. The rest of features that included on the update consist of direct access to SD card and camera, and panorama mode in the camera function.

If everything goes according to plan, the update should hit the Sony Tablet P users in Europe first. It should be available later in Asia and America.
