Google Nexus 7 vs Microsoft Surface vs Apple New iPad

It seems like there are more and more manufacturers that interested to take Apple’s pole position on the tablet PC market. Microsoft is the latest company to do that by introducing Surface tablets. On the other hand, Google is expected to release Nexus 7 tablet tomorrow at I/O Conference in San Fransisco. It is said that the Nexus will be the first tablet in the world that running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the latest-unannounced version of Android OS. Powered by Tegra 3 quad-core processors, the tablet is expected to be priced less than $200.

So, the question remain the same folks. Which one of them will become number one in the whole tablet market? In order to answer that, you need to read our side by side comparison below.

Google Nexus 7 tablet (Mock)

Screen. Google Nexus tablet will carry on 7″ screen or smaller than New iPad and Surface. Microsoft’s tablet will come out with 10.6 touch screen and 16:9 aspect ratio, while iPad’s 9.7″ screen is able to provide maximum 2048 x 1536 resolution or also known as Retina Display.

Processors. Google Nexus tablet will be powered by Tegra 3 quad-core processors that clocked at 1.3GHz and GeForce 12 core GPU. On the other hand, both ARM and Intel based version of Surface tablets will carry on Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU. Last but not least, New iPad is currently powered by dual-core A5X processors, which claimed to be able to provide quad-core like graphics quality.

OS. Google Nexus tablet might running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, while Microsoft Surface will feature the latest Windows 8. On the other side, Apple is recently release new iOS 6 update for all of it’s iOS devices, including New iPad.

Price. Google Nexus tablet will be released in two different version. The 8GB edition will be priced at $199, while the 16GB version will cost you $249. Microsoft hasn’t determine price for Surface tablets yet, but some rumors suggest that it will be more expensive than New iPad, which is currently cost at $599.
