There are plenty of android smartphones released this year. Some of them attempt to become the slimmest communication device ever. If you put high value on ultra thin chassis, then you might love to play around with such device. Here’s our list of five thinnest android handset around. Make sure that you read our writings before you decide to purchase one of them.

Oppo Finder

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. This handset was released for this first time on January 2011. This device is packed with 8.7mm chassis, makes it one of the slimmest android handset around. Aside from it’s incredible chassis, Xperia Arc also carry on dual-core processors. Othet technical details include 4.2″ touch screen with LED backlit and 8.0 megapixels rear shutter. Sony already made promise that an official Android 4.0 update will be available this year.

Motorola Droid RAZR. Launch few days after Samsung Galaxy Nexus, this handset was able to set the buzzer around the Internet because it’s carry on 7.1mm thick chassis that made of kevlar. For your information, kevlar is a bulletproof material that usually used to protect military gear. Other than that, you should be able to experience the amazing 4.3″ Super AMOLED screen and dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processors that clocked at 1.2GHz. Not to mention that it is also posses a 8.0 megapixels rear shutter.

Huawei Ascend P1 S. This device was make it’s debut for the first time at MWC 2012 in Barcelona. It is measured at 6.68mm thick, making it a thicker handset than Droid RAZR. It is currently powered by dual-core processors and running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. We still can’t tell you about how’s this device perform since Huawei is not released it yet outside China.

Oppo Finder. Created by lesser known manufacturer from China, this handset posses 6.65mm inch chassis. If you interested, this phone is already available for pre-order. However, it is only available in China. Specs-wise, Oppo Finder is currently carry on a full gigabyte of RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.3 inch Super AMOLED screen, and 16GB internal data storage.

ZTE Athena. This handset hasn’t make it’s way to market yet. It is said that ZTE will pack this phone with 6.2mm thick chassis. You can expect some features like Cortex A15 processors, 64GB internal data storage, and running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is intereting to see if this new device will be able to provide good performance like any other device.
