This is a great news for those of you who are expect something new from Sony. The Japan based company is recently release two new Xperia handsets.Both of them are powered by dual-core processors and (sadly) running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. However, there’s no need to worry since there will be an official Android 4.0 update released in the near future. These new devices are currently dubbed as Xperia Go and Xperia Acro S. The first one that we mentioned will be available in US this year and re-branded as Xperia Advance.
Xperia Acro S will running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich since it’s first day, just like Samsung Galaxy Nexus. This is a great news since the there are so many android handsets that still running on the old version of the OS these days.
Specs-wise, Xperia Go is considered as mid-end Android handset. It sports 3.5 inch touch screen with 480 x 320 resolution. Deep under it’s hood, lies a 1GHz dual-core processors. There’s a 5.0 megapixels rear shutter. If you interested, Sony will release this handset in two different variant, yellow and white.
On the other side, Sony Xperia Acro S is far more superior. It has dual-core processors that clocked at 1.5GHz. NFC connectivity is full supported. The beast 12.0 megapixels rear shutter is sitting on it’s rear side. There’s also 4.3″ screen that able to provide maximum 720p HD resolution. Just like Xperia Go, the Acro S will be released in two different version, white and pink.
