LG might be considered as the second-best smartphone manufacturer in South Korea, but they already reach a new milestone today. According to the company’s official statement, there are more than 1 millions unit of Optimus LTE (released last year) that sold at their own home soil.

As we mentioned earlier, this is not the first milestone that reached by LG. Back on November last year, the company announced that there are up to 150,000 units of Optimus LTE were sold in South Korea. Earlier in January this year, LG also noted that there are more than 1 millions unit of the handset were globally sold.

Now that LG already able to gather 1 million customers in their own country of origin, the company must be very proud of their achievement. This is also mean that LG Optimus LTE is probably the best-selling LTE smartphone that we have so far. However, we can’t tell you for sure since not every company is interested to published their sales record like LG or Samsung. There are probably other LTE device that manage to surpass Optimus LTE’s record, but we just don’t know it yet.

No wonder why LG already plan to release the successor of Optimus LTE. It is currently called as Optimus LTE 2. If everything goes according to plan, this next-gen smartphone should be available for purchase in South Korean this month. Let’s hope that the Optimus LTE 2 manage to achieve similar success to it’s older brother.
