Unlike Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 2.3 Gingerbread is not packed with built-in system monitoring app. That’s why there are plenty of users that usually end up with freezing system due to memory leaks. Elixir. This app is currently available for free at Google Play store. You will be presented with plenty of useful information that related to your current system, including the amount of memory and app process that takes huge amount of RAM. There’s also a task manager that allow you to automatically kill an unwanted process. This should be a welcome feature for those of you who are currently own an android handset with low internal memory.

PC Monitor. Same as Elixir, this one is also offered for free. Once you install this app on your Android handset, you can control and monitor your Linux or Windows-based computer from far distance. The best part is that you can even tunnel into them. That’s why we put this app in our second rank of best monitoring app for android.

Perfect System Monitor. We are not totally agree with the “Perfect” name since this app is not that good. However, you can display the system information via widget mode on the home screen. Please note that you can’t manage your phone or have some hardware information from this app, but there’s few good fact that this app is currently offer. Not too bad for a non-paid app.

MiniInfo. Same as perfect system monitor, this app also not contain too many useful information. However, you can get some important status about your handset’s hardware configuration in a single glance. It might not packed with lot of complicated features like Elixir, but you should be able to play around with some basic function like battery, memory, and storage optimization.
