Verizon Circled May 10th as Droid Incredible 4G Release Date?

Yesterday, we’ve already come out with summary of HTC Droid Incredible 4G rumors. One of them said that the handset will be released by Verizon Wireless in April 26th or today to be more precise. However, both of us know that there’s nothing happen today, so it seems like you must ready for another release date rumor (sigh..)

Our guys at PhoneDog is recently suggest that Verizon has already circled May 10th on their calendar as the release date of the third generation Droid Incredible. It is Thursday by the way and the Big Red is well-know to pick that day as their favorite to launch new handset.

However, since there’s no solid evidence on this, you can take this as nothing but a grain of salt. Plus, if Verizon indeed plan to release the handset on that day, they are also the most righteous one in the world to cancel it on last minute.

There’s something interesting with the predicted release date though. It is exactly seven days after Samsung held special release event in London on May 3rd. Five days earlier, AT&T will starts selling HTC One X on both online and official stores. So, there’s a great chance that we will witness the release of plenty high-end smartphone next month.

HTC Droid Incredible 4G was already showed up on web several times. It is even already pay a visit to FCC headquarter. But still, there’s no official words from Verizon about the arrival of this device. Recently leaked ad banner shows that the phone will be priced at $299.99, which is considered as hefty price tag, even for new comer. For instance, the brand new HTC Evo 4G LTE is only priced at $199.99 on Sprint. Let’s hope that Verizon will comes out with different pricing.

In terms of hardware specs, Droid Incredible 4G sports similar 4.0 inch qHD touch screen to it’s predecessors. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processors. As it name implies, the device will be fully compatible with 4G LTE Radio. Finally, it will feature Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.
