Samsung Push-Out Android 4.0 Update for Galaxy S II GT I9100G
Samsung was released an Android 4.0 update for Galaxy S II few weeks ago. It was already roll-out in South Korea and continue it’s journey to Europe and some part of Asia. On the mean time the US customers are already have the chance to taste Ice Cream Sandwich on their unlocked Galaxy S II last week, while the network locked version of the handset will surely get updated in the near future. However, not all Galaxy S II model is that lucky.
We’re talking about Samsung Galaxy I9100G. This model is less popular than any other Galaxy S II variant. we have no idea why it is exactly happen, but maybe because customers prefer to use an Exynos CPU, instead of Texas Instrument OMAP. Plus, there’s no official words if an Android 4.0 update will come to this phone this year. Or is it?
Thanks to our guys at GSM Arena, we manage to figure it out that Samsung is already start pushing out Android 4.0 update for GT I9100G. It is currently available as an OTA. This is mean that all you have to do is wait an official notification about the update availability and tap on the Install button, as soon as you receive it. If you’re not sure that the Android 4.0 has reach your handset or not, you can manually check it by navigate to Settings > About Phone > System Update.
