How to Save Wet Android Smartphone

Let’s say that your android smartphone is submerged into water, then what are you supposed to do? Well, in this case, you should not panic. Please note that even your smartphone is exposed by small amount of water, it will cause some damage. From unresponsive touch screen to blank screen. So, there’s no need to worry if your device is completely drowned. Based on our experience, most of wet cellphone can be solved with simple methods. You can try to use these tips before trying to contact your local customer support.

First, remove the rear cover of your smartphone and remove the battery pack. You must do this immediately as soon as you realize that your handset is exposed by water. Remember, it is important for you to not to play around with the capacitive buttons or try to turn on the handset. It will caused short circuits in your system and your handset is probably never wake up from it’s sleep again. Now that you already have the battery remove, you can check a small sticker attached near the battery slot. Manufacturers are usually put on this kind of sticker to indicate if the handset has suffer any water damage. If the sticker colored with pink instead of white, then we can confirm that your handset is already exposed by water.

Now, you have to look for a small tower, handkerchief, or any fabric that can be used to clean the water from your android smartphone. Please note that using a paper towel or tissue is not advised. That’s because it’s particle might stick inside your phone’s chassis and it’s hard to remove. Just do your best to wipe all the water from the device. If you’re have some knowledge about smartphone’s internal system, you can disassemble your handset to see if there’s any further damage. You can search how to do that on the Internet since every single handset is assembled in different way. Please not that this step is not recommended for any of you who less-experienced.

Are you done yet with the wiping and drying process? Good, now you should go to the nearby supermarket and buy a box of white rice. Yes you read it right guys, just do it and you’ll see what we’re talking about. Please note that you should’nt use any flavored rice or any other variant that might feature small particle that able to get inside your smartphone chassis. Prepare a bowl and create a layer of rice inside it. Now, face down your handset and put on the rice layer. The next step that you need to do is completely covered your handset with the rice. Do it until the bowl is full with it. The rice will be act as a natural material that will absorb any water that left inside your phone’s chassis. In order to make sure that your handset is completely free from water, you must leave it buried with rice for about 48 hours.

After two days passed, dig out your handset, re-insert the battery and turn it on. If the handset works as usual, then you’re lucky. But if it is not, there’s no need to be worry guys. Just repeat the similar steps and wait until the next 48 hours and see if the device is already resurrected. If the problems still persist, then we suggest you to contact the local customer support for your handset.
