Google Pick Samsung (Again) as Close Partner for the 4th Nexus Handset
Google’s first “Official” Android smartphone was made by HTC and called as Nexus One. Not so long after that, the giant search company decided to pick Samsung as their next partner and manage to come out with Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus. So, who will make the next Galaxy smartphone?
Well, it seems like there will be no change on the current situation guys. Digitimes suggest that Google and Samsung are already make a new agreement to develop the next Nexus smartphone. Other rumors were suggest that it was HTC that previously aimed to build the fourth Nexus phone, but it seems like they choose to work closely with Facebook to develop the social website’s first official smartphone.
It is said that this decision is based on the fact that Samsung is now declared as the best Android smartphone vendor in the world. That’s why Google decided to give the Korean based company one more chance to build the Nexus handset. The company also noted that they are quite impressed with Samsung’s innovation and it’s ability to serve key components on all of their products.
Google is well-known for it’s habit to release new Nexus smartphone each year. HTC Nexus One was released on 2010. One year later, the new Nexus S was start to penetrate the market. Finally, the latest Samsung Galaxy Nexus was released on late last year. It is also the first smartphone in the world that running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device is now available at Verizon’s inventory with the support for LTE connectivity. Sprint is also plan to sell similar device in the near future. If everything goes according to plan, their Galaxy Nexus LTE should be available for purchase on May 22nd. Latest report suggest that the pre-order for it has been sell out.
However, there are no details known yet about the next Nexus handset. It seems like Samsung is currently busy preparring the release event of “Next Galaxy” device in London. This anticipated event should happen in May 3rd.
