Drag Racing for Android: Tuning Tips

Drag Racing is one of the most popular racing game for Android. The fact that the game only require a single run to play and you can have it for free makes Drag Racing has been downloaded for more than 1 million times at Google Play store. Today, we decided to come out with few tips to tune your car, so you can win most races that you enter in this game.

Nitrous. It is a wise thing to set your nitro from 100% to 110% rate. We’ve try to give it less amount, but usually we are not able to claim the best spot with it. In contrast, you don’t want to make it goes somewhere above that numbers, because it will make your tire skid out very fast.

Final Drive. This settings depends on what kind of cars that you’re currently use. Personally, we prefer to set it somewhere between 3.2-3.7 and will re-tune it back when we are finish with the rest of the setting. The faster or more expensive car that you use, the Final Drive settings will be able to provide you with ultimate impact if it is set below gear one.

1st and 2nd gear. Take-off is quite important in this game. We suggest you to do some upgrade on the tire, so you can loose some weight from your car. Set the gear to the lowest amount possible and you’ll get a better grip. Personally, we love to set the first gear into an area that allow us to reach second gear immediately without huge amount of peeling. This will make our cars have a huge take-off advantage from the opponent’s car.

The best way to see if your setting already work is enter a race and try it for yourself.Please note that the second gear should be lower that the first gear, but not too low. If the gap between these two gears are too much, you car will ended on a massive lag during the startup.

3rd gear. This is probably the most important setting on the Drag Racing for Android. It will determine how fast you can initiate the Nitro without having you lost your current position because too much peeling. You are also have to notice if your car is good enough to make you launch 4th gear immediately. The third gear must be set with an amount with big gap from the previous gear. For instance, if you set your second gear to 2.7, then we suggest you to set the third gear to 1.7. You can even catch up your enemy, even when they already lead ahead of you with Nitro. But that’s only happen if you have a perfect setting of the 4th gear.

4th gear. We don’t have any special treatment to set this gear. Usually, it depends on what kind of car that we are currently use. Just enter the practice/test mode many times and you’ll instantly figured the best fourth gear settings.

5th, 6th, and 7th gears. It is important to make your car running on top speed while you changing into these gears. Usually, to determine setting for these gears, we are taking advantage from the test race feature. We try and try our settings and save our best record. Then we save our best racing time. Under the presets screen, you should be able to see the current settings that you use. We always refer to this presets and tweak it a little bit. In most cases we are able to win the race without any struggle. Again, it depends on what kind of car that you’re currently use. Remember, tuning are not the only things that matter on this game. We’ve already seen two players race each other with an exact similar settings, but still, there’s only one winner. You are also have to practice your skills, so you will know when it the right time to change gear and when to initiate the nitro function.
