Asus Transformer Pad 300 was showcased at the company’s booth at MWC 2012 in Barcelona. Basically, it is a cheap version of Transformer Prime tablet. Coated with plastic chassis, instead of aluminum, but still carry on similar hardware specs to it’s predecessor. It is expected to arrive in Europe in May and will landed in US really soon.
Amazon is already taking pre-order for the tablet. They are currently ask $489.99 for it. The retailer also noted that the shipment process should start on April 22nd.
As we mentioned earlier, Transformer Pad 300 share similar hardware specs to Transformer prime, despite the fact that it is priced below $500. It sports 10.1 inch touch screen with IPS display technology and 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. Deep inside it’s chassis, lies a 1.2GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processors made by Nvidia, a full gigabyte of RAM, and 32GB internal data storage. This tablet also posses dual-camera unit. 8.0 megapixels on back and 1.2 megapixels on front.
